Description
Watercolor - A Sailboat at Sunset on Lake Garda, Italy. Also known in Italy as Largo di Garda, Benaco. The Lake formed under the action of a Paleolithic glacier, 5 to 6 million years ago. It is located in Northern Italy. One of the historic towns located on the Lake is the town of Sirmione which is a big tourist attraction and is the home of the Scaliger Castle dating back to the 13th Century. The Roman poet Catullus had a villa here. The sulfur springs at the tip of the peninsula have a reputation for healing catarrhal conditions, particularly those involving the ear. Nearby is one of the largest theme parks in Italy, Gardaland. Please enjoy.
