Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The story behind this painting is that it 's from my North window of my painting studio, one day I was wanting something to paint and saw the beautiful afternoon sunlight reflecting off the neighborhood backyards across the way from me.
